Sure, I miss him as the sweet little newborn that did nothing but sleep all day, but I wouldn't trade his freshly turned 8 month age for anything. We have so much fun with the kid. Plus, seeing him learn so many new skills and everything is absolutely incredible. I love it. I love him.
At 8 Months Jack is:
- Sitting up [but still can fall backward at any moment]
- Eating 2-3 solid meals a day
- Wearing 6-9 mo. clothes
- Still sleeping from 9:30pm-7:30am, eats, then sleeps til 10:30am..
- Clapping
- Sporting two baby teeth
- In love with measuring cups
- Still wearing size 3 diapers
- Has incredible eye sight and hearing [like on a super hero level]
- Spent his first night away without mommy and daddy :(
- Insanely cute
- Gags on food with too much texture (cheerios will have to wait)
- Willing to nap, if it's in his parent's big, comfy bed
- Crawls only backwards and does efficient 360s on the floor
- Makes strangers swoon
- Always getting his thighs squeezed, butt spanked, cheeks pinched, and hair pet by his adoring parents
- Drooling like a dog [like his 3 mo. old self again]
- Laughs hysterically when we tickle him
- Is rotated between his playpen, jumper, activity center, mommy's arms, and the floor throughout the day
- Still sleeps with his lullaby music on
- Around 21 lbs
- Always making us laugh
- Nurses 4-6 times a day
- Hates when we wipe his mouth and pick his nose
- Enjoying bath time [except when it's time to rinse his hair]
- Points at things with his cute, little baby pointer finger
- Likes sitting on Daddy's head
- Still completely fascinated by his hands
- Loved so much
