9 Months Old

Well, it took him nine months to cook in the oven, and since he's made his arrival, he's been living it up in the real world for nine more months.

I must say, the 9 pregnant months felt a little slower than these most recent ones.

At 9 Months Jack is:
  • Always sitting up
  • Eating 2-3 solid meals a day
  • Wearing clothes sizing from 6mo up to 12mo.
  • Still sleeping from 9:30pm-7:30am, eats, then sleeps til 10:30am (sometimes later)..
  • Feeding himself foods he can pinch
  • Clapping
  • Is about to get his top two front teeth
  • Can give you "five" [ten, fifteen, twenty...he doesn't know to just stop at the first one]
  • Does sit-ups
  • Loves pointed out tiny pieces of lint, dirt, spots or other things that "shouldn't be there"
  • Crawling around (stealth like)
  • Gets so serious when he watches us brush our teeth
  • Drinks out of a sippy cup
  • Still wearing size 3 diapers
  • Likes to shove his baby pointer finger up his Momma's nose
  • 19.5lbs (40th percentile)
  • Insanely cute
  • Tries to wave
  • Shakes his head "no" [even when he means yes]
  • Loves getting his teeth brushed
  • Can turn the TV on
  • Finally napping in his crib during the day
  • Likes the springy doorstoppers...hates it when we take him away from them
  • Still falls asleep easily in his carseat
  • Growing his hair in nicely
  • Makes it challenging to change his diaper and clothes because he always wants to flip over, crawl away, or anything else besides laying still
  • Sporting blue-ish/hazel-ish eyes
  • Knows how to open drawers
  • A comedian
  • Shares his popsicles
  • Laughs hysterically when we tickle him, throw a ball in the air, play peek-a-boo, and put cups on our head
  • Only moves backwards in his walker
  • Never wears shoes
  • Likes pulling Liam and Lola's ears, tails, and fur
  • Whines we tell him no [and so it begins]
  • Looking forward to the winter time
  • Nurses 4-6 times a day
  • Loves it when Dadda takes him for walks around the neighborhood in the evenings
  • Still has stinky feet
  • Trying to stand [when he's in the bathtub]
  • Gets up on his knees
  • Says, "Gum", "Mama", "Baba", "Ga", "yaya" along with a lot of squeels, and other noises I can't figure out how to write
  • Somehow finds a way to lick the shopping cart even with a cover on it
  • Still completely fascinated by his hands
  • Loved so much
